We need to have a conversation

One that reduces our political doubt

It seems our reliance on any media bias’

Only drives our willingness to shout out

We must strip away the narrative commentary

Discuss the ideas’ logical construction

And dismiss all of the fallacies

By simple logical deduction

If we use any sources for reference

We should cite each source

Noting which ones we reject

And which ones we endorse

I tire of all of the rhetoric

The sophistry that we spew

Who here is not guilty?

Who here will admit there are very few?

We seem to be polarized

As evidenced by the social media rant

I wonder who will rise above the hyperbole?

I wonder about those who can’t

Have we lost our minds?

Trying to prove our political expertise

In truth it lies in the study of human behavior

And in the study of logic but with no guarantees
