Growing pains are a certainty

On which we cannot deny

Only time tested strategies

Are likely to apply

You can’t blame your family

For the lessons they don’t teach

It is up to you

As you do when you learn to reach

So when that voice from within

Compels me to reflect

On things that cause me discomfort

For things I’ve done I’d ought to reject

It is for this reason

Why we should forgive

We are not infallible beings
