The Human Condition

To the mind’s eye, I give myself

No one to fear, but the fear itself

For truly one has the power to heal

In as much as we have a soul to steal

The problem of life

Is for all to live

Questions and answers

‘Tis our nature to give

A meaning we give

The meaning we forsake

Responsibility for this

We seldom take

Cast alone – afraid

Together – we ease

Believing one another

Can cloud our relieve

Mistakes we will make

A destiny we will feel

Some outright and free

Some alone –

Deplorable and concealed

Yet widen this scope

An encompassing zeal

To find hidden truths

In ourselves –

cognition’s of appeals
