I’m Not Trying to Tell you What to Believe

The meandering thoughts

That go through my head

Wandering around

When I lie down in my bed

Our dreams are created

From content we make

Borrowed from our life experiences

That sometimes come to us when we wake

I’ve noticed that my sub-conscious

Seems to enter into the mix

Unable to control this while sleeping

Oh how the mind plays its tricks

Working out problems

Sometimes behind the scenes

A conscious mind partially active

When there are no other means

I sometimes write down

A journal of what I can remember

They tell me a story

Of this prominent charter member

And so I forge on

Don’t build a virtual prison around your thoughts

Circular reasoning will never

Connect all the dots

I’m not trying to tell you what to believe

I’m only trying to tell you how to proceed
