For You I Pen This

For you I pen this

It comes deeply within my heart

And when I am thinking of you

These thoughts I cannot pull apart

For in you I find

What others may not

Simple questions to ask

But ask if I ought?

We all must take chances

Better to tell someone how you feel

Than to go on living

A silence that we conceal

So here I go again

A chance to make you see

The intentions I have

All I want is for you to be happy

Allow me to show you

Put me to the test

If indeed it doesn’t work

I can then put this to rest

DCG

Left to Figure out

A shared experience is better

Than a one-sided investment

One sided is powerful

But you need the proper assessment

We often tell ourselves

That our spirits are free

The fact we tell ourselves this

A reminder there is no guarantee

I place my faith in the universe

I place my trust in the good

Sometimes seeking the answers

We might ensnare a falsehood

This gives us perspective

This gives us a taste

What we develop

In our summation, in our haste

Some things are not discussed

Some things are left to figure out

We have to fill in the blanks

And hope we can mitigate any doubt

DCG

Illusive but True

I give this tribute

In my silence I decree

I am a better man from knowing you

How I want to show you …me

You can see it in my smile

You can see it in my eyes

Have you noticed?

It is no surprise

It is no secret

If you look close enough

There are many signs

With no hint of a bluff

Can’t explain why we pine

The matters of the heart illusive but true

Sometimes we make it

Sometimes we fall through

DCG

Before the Fall

I listen carefully

In detail I take note

The magnetism that draws me near

Is my only anecdote

I am awake

I am in tune

Is it my doing?

Or just the phase of the moon?

The interest is deeper

Than libidinal energy

I am connected

Or is it reverie?

Unanswered questions

Do not matter such as thee

Cart before the horse

A spirit that is bound yet free

My world is more beautiful

No matter how near or how far

My heart becomes fuller

The very thought of you under the evening Star

DCG

Here I stand

Today I recognize beauty

That you impart by just a smile

A warmth I feel inside

I must somehow reconcile

To me there is no question

When I look into your eyes

The beauty of a soul

One that can mesmerize

So here I stand so patiently

Wanting to give you all of me

Waiting only for you to see

Hoping for joy of what might be

WikiPsalm #Thirteen

There are times when we wake

From a trance like sleep

Giving in to an inner voice

Making promises we can’t keep

It is precisely in this time

We should vindicate our aspiration

Acknowledging a conflict building

Within this mindful vexation

Become clear about what is important

Clarify this in your deeds

Do not let unworthy influence

Give council that often misleads
