Cogito ego Scribo

In my contemplation

I deal with doubt

Cogito ego Scribo

I think therefore I write is what I shout

I ruminate about skepticism

The human condition is self evident

As I am just a member

With whom I represent

The temptation of certainty

Is much like the story of the original sin

Thomas Aquinas summa theologiae

This is where it all begins

The temptation to disobey and break the covenant

To put ourselves above God and self proclaim divinity

Our fruit from the tree of knowledge on its own is flawed

What we call humanity

The indictment of human reason

With an angelic court that presides

The arbiter of justice

Only God knows when he decides

When your confidence is shrouded by insecurity

The wounds never heal

If you deny any chance to grow

When you bottle up the emotional pain

it is your shame that prevents you to show

Caught in a vicious cycle

The unexplored subconscious reigns

Never looking at your reflection

Never understanding your pain

Never learning how to process emotional trauma

You willingly suppress and avoid feelings That keep you in chains

You battle this inner enemy

A victim you become by your own claim

Unresolved childhood trauma

Not knowing where to turn

Perpetually questioning your internal compass

If you don’t trust yourself, you won’t be able to learn

When your confidence is shrouded by insecurity

The dismissive avoidant, prolongs their suffering and pain

Little chance for success

When it is all done in vain

There is hope for a chance of recovery

Take my hand I will be your guide

You can find resolution

But you must first expose what you so often hide

One that we host

Walking on eggshells

Not knowing who to trust

When loneliness meets self-doubt

After two cocktails, you lower your standards and begin to lust

So we dress up, and act clever

And then we flirt

The person who takes notice

Won’t even be there when you hurt

Something within us

Drives us to mix and socialize

With our guard rails down

Not sober we will compromise

We reach for the shiny object

That is in the room

Little do we know

More often it turns into gloom

Did we choose wisely?

Only the soul can say

When we rush into excitement

Those feelings sometimes fade away

Off to the bar we go

Not knowing we’re chasing a ghost

One that we have created

And one that we host

Doesn’t always mean what it seems

I have all this emotion

But I must keep it locked away

She doesn’t want to hear me

Or what I have to say

And so I bottle it all up

This emotional genie that wants to awaken from his sleep

Waiting for the cork to open

Allowing it to feel again and gently weep

How many wishes?

Must we make?

How many opportunities?

Will we take?

What will the heart ask for?

If the genie wakes?

What will we succumb to?

When the heart breaks?

The problem with making wishes

We never know what we’re gonna get

Too many variables to predict

That would make us upset

Despite , our best intentions

We may just get it wrong

If you accept this does not make you weak

Does it then make you strong?

The reason life isn’t so easy

Sometimes cannot be foreseen

What you see is what you get

Doesn’t always mean what it seems

It warms my heart

It warms my heart

When you express yourself to me

The excitement of a new job

A new opportunity

Not sure why I seek this connection

I seem to be drawn to you

I yearn to be close

Another déjà vu

Been three months since New Year’s days eve

It was such a great night

But I’m not sure what to believe

From the day I took notice

You have been in my heart and on my mind

Only wanting to know you better

But I think there were things about yourself you didn’t want me to find.

Did I form a trauma bond?

Or was it more than hypnotic empathy?

The connection for me was real

If I misunderstood, then please forgive me

I do find joy in the feelings that you share

Your well-being means something to me

What is hard is that I see the internal conflict

And then I also see you respond positively

I know if you wanted something more

You would let me know

Whether you consider me a friend

Or whether you consider me a beau

There is no immunity

There is no immunity

From making mistakes

We are fallible and erroneous

From the risks that we take

If you believe in the Eden story

Aquinas called it “the original sin”

Outside of the garden

Without the Lord‘s grace; we alone cannot win

One can argue

That hell is the absence of God

But in the eyes of the atheist

They would denounce this as fraud

Jean Paul Sartre said

“We are thrown into the world“ because man is “condemned to be free”

“Responsible for everything”

An existential nativity

Because we are human

We have limited reasoning ability

The quintessential human trait

The universal ambiguity

My book the indictment of human reason

Coming to Amazon near you

The historic problem of epistemology and logic

We are abound in perpetuity

The great pyramid of Giza

Don’t believe everything you’re told

The new evidence reveals

 The lies that we hold

SARDT

Shows massive structures below the surface of the great pyramid

Extending 648 m below the topography

Maybe we need a Renaissance of etiquette

You should not need a preacher or a politician

To tell you when you are wrong

You must decide for yourself

The appeal to authority will take too long

It is difficult to live in ambiguity

“The heart of the fool is in his tongue; the tongue of the prudent is in his heart”

When one takes account

One does their part

Maybe we need a Renaissance of etiquette

To reprise the social contract

A moral code of conduct

Reinforced by its impact

The true measurement of wealth

Is not a physical possession

It rather dwells in our wisdom

A statement in biblical confession

Progressives have infiltrated our educational institutions

Teaching to hate America

Essentially a progressive activism

God help us in this political hysteria

The signs of educational indoctrination is evident

Turning point and Charlie Kirk attest

Just listen to the parents of these children

They will often profess

This emotional embargo

Just because you can resist the devil

Doesn’t mean you should hang out with him

Take this as a truth

Do not take it on a whim

It’s easier to avoid temptation

Then it is to resist it

If you don’t want temptation to follow you

Then don’t act like you are interested and just sit

Because of our loyalty

Because of our doubt

Because of our skepticism

All we can do in this box is burst out

Our faith will be tested

The appearance of the hardest path to take is not always as clear

The motivation to overcome

May give us a better compass to steer

You can’t purge yourself of feeling

But you can certainly numb

Over time you become bitter and resent

Just what then will we become?

This emotional embargo

We place on others, lovers, and our friends

Just how will we survive?

Just how will our relationships end?

We back ourselves into a corner

There is only one way to move

We must go forward again

Because only our time will prove

it is not as bad as we imagined

We have trapped ourselves in an emotional cage

We’re spinning our wheels round and round

we must muster the courage for os to wage

I don’t know what the future holds

I don’t know what the future holds

I leave it in Gods hands

The people I meet and care about

I pray they are in his plans

I pray that I may flourish

As an instrument of the good

I pray for my family and loved ones

As I hope this is understood

I live freely, I love deeply

I want to empower and give no harm

I offer kindness and devotion

Some will say that this is my charm

I learn looking backwards

But I must always focus on today

I am thankful for my blessings

And this is what I say…

If you have called me darling

I know you know who you are

If this poem finds you

I thank my lucky star

The fact is I know that you like me

And you know that I like you

I’ve already seen into your heart

If only we can begin anew

I know you have reservations

You’ve told me this as well

Please know I am here if you want me

Also know I realize this will be a hard sell

I do not give up that easily

I can be as stubborn as you

Somehow the kindred spirits within us

May come to share this view

It’s not quite clear

Sometimes we must tolerate

The ill-mannered, the ignorant, and the fool

Fortuitously or by practice

Beware the many that do not know the golden rule

The thing about tolerance

When it deals with our pain

We will tend to suffer

Whilst we still often complain

Is it a maladaptive behavior?

Or are we just austere?

With the folly of our being

It’s not quite clear
