Do not feign virtue

The everyday man and woman

The salt of the earth

The only question

Do you know your worth?

Even a pillar of the community

Will stumble and lose their way

Just look to our political debates

So many have gone astray

Do not feign virtue

It cannot be given or sold

It must be earned

Not only shown in the church, but also out on the street in the cold

Tribal community can be fickle

Many abundant colloquialisms found

Not rooted in truth

The loss of integrity abound

DCG

The consequence of our behavior

Close my eyes

Bow my head

I am not the center of the universe

I look inward instead

I focus on what is right in front of me

I visualize opportunity

I meditate, I manifest

What will be, will be

Think serendipity

We can influence our reality

Shape our experience

Our outlook on what we see

I always seek to better understand

The consequence of our behavior

The most powerful argument

For having a savior

If it takes a village to raise a child

What does it take to educate an adult?

If you nurture honesty and accountability

Then they will self-correct any other fault?

There are many snakes on the path before us

You will encounter liars and deceit

Be steadfast to the peddlers of manipulation

And remember to always keep the receipt

It’s fair to say

We will be tested and challenged

By the people on the street

Some will destroy our faith with misplaced trust

Yet others will restore our faith when we meet

In any case, I continue my gaze

Looking to connect

To that which I understand

To that which I respect

My battle for autonomy

The odds are against me

But I do not accept defeat

The world is getting darker

I still resist retreat

I feel the weight on my shoulders

And this is what I carry around

I tried to conceal this from others

It is very hard to stand my ground

As a man, I know how to provide and protect

Yet my family has gone away

Now I am alone

And I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to stay

If you have a disability

People often say

“Take care of yourself“

As if I’d choose another way

Although stating the obvious

Is better than apathy

I remain centered

And respond thankfully

We reach a point in life

We grasp onto our faith

We pray to overcome

We pray we will be safe

Call me stubborn

Call me a pig-headed man

I’ll extend my middle finger

I only hope you’ll understand

All things considered

My attitude is pretty good

My battle for autonomy

I also hope that’s understood

The struggle in our humanity

No matter which cards we are dealt

Must resolve some form of action

No matter how deeply it is felt

DCG

I self sabotage

When I have guilt

When I have shame

I self sabotage

That’s who I blame

I don’t feel worthy

I don’t feel sane

I self sabotage

That’s where I put my blame

Guilt is from choices I’ve made

Shame is from identifying with inadequacy

My father used to put me down

He put me down so masterfully

Abandonment issues

Little self-esteem

The child inside me

Has a diminishing dream

You see I’ve had difficulty in relationships

I had a difficult childhood

And with my low self-esteem

My cognitive dissonance stood

At least I gave it a shot

When the mind is weary

It can become overwhelmed and confused

One must then use a counter balance

Before one can defuse

There is nothing wrong with confusion

If it forces you to think

Consider all sides

And be distinct

Sound mind and sound body

Common sense can balance the equation

Activate your intelligence

And confront the mind-virus invasion

Some of our problems take time to work through

Patience, reflection, and persistence

Is the prescription

In times of unsolved resistance

The Tao resolves conflict with Wei wu Wei

Zen resolves conflict; human suffering as attachment

Hence you cannot grasp and cling to your breath

One must always exhale for detachment

On the other hand

The Confucian is the pragmatist

Resolution is common sense

No need for the iron fist

The American surfer knows

How to escape a riptide

Surrender to the water current

And not to their own pride

The will imposes maladaptive behaviors

And maladaptive thought

When we fail, we say

“At least I gave it a shot”

What do we learn with a diminishing return?

No matter the disability

The people must navigate, the people must learn

Just how to negotiate

Their diminishing return

If you don’t get caught up in the bitterness

You are more receptive to appreciate

The disabled humbled by limitation

To bargain with reality is to conciliate

The experience of loss

A universal trait

How we reconcile

Determines our fate

A tripartite mind

Plato‘s charioteer

The inertia forces

We commandeer

How we experience the world

Applies to how we observe

Just ask Siddhartha Gautama

What the eightfold path would serve

DCG

What do you care to wage?

I took a dive off the edge of a Dixie cup

Swam around inside and then I jumped out

Couldn’t find a place to lay down

So I sat and had a pout

Soon after the pouring rain

I wanna ride down the sidewalk gutter in my paper boat

Drifting on the rainwater, watch me sail and float

You might call me crazy

You might call me a fool

But even today physics can’t explain how a bumblebee flies

Knowing this do you still wanna ridicule?

We still don’t know when, why or how the great pyramid of Giza was built

NASA lost all of their telemetry data on our trip to the moon

Might as well have been made of cheese

Why are those who question authority labeled a loon?

If you take the Covid vaccine

You will never get sick

Was it a vaccine or a bio- weapon?

What will the studies depict?

The lies will never cease

People on the world stage

They are likely to spin their wicked tales

What do you care to wage?

DCG

Men have tried to reason

Imagine

The human condition

Our ideas shape our reality

More than you know

Dreamers like John Lennon also think so

The mind will often validate

What it expects to see

A posteriori or a Priori?

Which Kantian epistemology?

The philosophical mechanisms we argue

In the name of humanity

Or is all we need just

Philosophical sobriety?

What happened to common sense?

Dreamer or dictator, utopian, or realist

What will we ponder?

What will be missed?

We are but flawed creatures

Just how shall we choose?

Do we wake up?

Or do we just snooze?

Blood has been spilt on the battlefield

Blood has been spilt on the cross

The war for the soul continues on

Just when will the battle be won or lost?

Men have tried to reason

Throughout all of history

But is the ultimate question that is asked

Only in theology?

The public servant millionaires

Eric Swalwell had a honey pot

So did Winnie the Pooh

I don’t know yet who is on the Epstein client list

But you’d probably suspect Tigger too

Thousands of pages withheld by the New York FBI

When will Pam and Kash release the files?

We will soon know why

This document dump declass

Will expose how deep the rabbit hole goes

Linked by many conspiracies together

All the way back to Director Comey the evidence shows

Follow the money

The daily DOGE

Follow the politicians

See the pop-up NGO’s

The criminal politicians

Sneak payments to their families

The public servant millionaires

Prove all of these conspiracies

DCG

We are connected if we are aligned

My father once told me

“All you do is work and then you die“

He did not teach me about love

I don’t know the reason why

I grew up in a modest family

With little money and little love

I educated myself

And prayed to the Lord above

I write about what I think

I write about what I feel

Like a John-Boy Walton

The ethical onion skin is what I peel

The layers I shed before you

My readers will attest

The poems that resonate the most

Are the poems that are the best

This blogs tagline

“Reaching out to the world, one post at a time“

Has something for everyone

If you look, then you will find

The threads of our humanity

Interwoven and intertwined

We share the same biology

We are connected if we are aligned
