Humor that self-depreciates

Is widely accepted

They bypass any defense mechanism the audience would contemplate

Genuine gratitude

Is not the same as a gratuity paid

Much easier to transact a custom

Then transact an authentic feeling made

I wonder about the people

Impoverished emotionally

Alienated from humanity
