The Tenet that Compels

She said thank you with her smile

She said thank you with her eyes

We are best served with a generous grace

So it’s said amongst the wise

Luke 6:31

Make us think beyond ourselves

The ones that appreciate

The tenet that compels

He that’s selective in the judgements that he makes

May fail to see the good in others

And in the worst case scenario

Will cast out against his brothers

If you look for the faults of people

You will surely find many to note

Surely the lessons of life will tell

This wasted time we devote

I ask myself a question

I often beg to differ

Why we subvert our values

A disguise on what we bicker

The popular and the fashionable

Are not what should be sought

Forever do we tally

For what is and for what is not
